Hello, my name is Joe Unden (second from the right) , and welcome to my new blog site. As you can see from this photo, I am part of a big family … a big happy family!
I have spent the past 4 years developing mountain-bike-diaries.com, a substantial website with tons of content for all levels of mountain biking. In an effort to improve that website I hired an expert to do a thorough evaluation. Although she came up with many different conclusions, the one that hit me the hardest was, “You are spread too thin.” Instantly I knew she was correct. To produce top quality material I needed to either hire a staff of people or cut back on what I was trying to do.
So, I have decided to narrow my focus and do what I like the most … riding my bike and sharing what I have learned (and this type of website design fits the bill perfectly)!
I hope my posts provoke thought and inspire you to share your opinions. My goal is to make this site a community lounge, where people feel comfortable participating in discussions and are willing to help others, as if they were part of your family.
The old site? I will leave mountain-bike-diaries.com on the internet for another year as a source of information for my fellow riders. I may transfer some of those best blogs to this site, but I will be concentrating my efforts here.
In conclusion, I hope you will enjoy what I have to say and will contribute your ideas in the comment section on each page. I want to encourage you to Join the Family by submitting your first name and email address below. Signing up allows you to offer comments on any page and gives me a way to send you notifications of new posts (rest assured your email address will never be sold, published, or given to any other person, organization, or company).
Thanks for visiting and I hope to hear from you soon!
